Hunter Underground/Above Ground 2023
March 24 | 8:00 PM – 11:00 PM | Hunter Museum of American Art
Always a chic and memorable cocktail party and silent art auction, Hunter Underground 2023 (again above ground in the lobby this year) will be a retro-futuristic experience with out-of-this-world art installations, ambient sounds and lights, and a supercool disco afterparty. Head into the future and join us for an otherworldly evening featuring a silent auction of local and regional art, a costume contest, and, back by popular demand, the “Art Heist Gallery”!
If futurism is a type of science, forecasting what may come, then retro-futurism is looking back and recalling what that anticipation was like. Set in a crystal-strewn, futuristic landscape, Underground 2023 invites you into a world where art, fashion and fantasy know no bounds. Be transported to a night of artful surprises set to a galaxy of fashion and be ready to add to your art collection!
Includes open bar and creative fare. Must be 21+ to attend

Incendiary Performer & Piano Rocker Jesse Daniel Edwards
March 24 | 8:00 PM – 10:00 PM | Cherry Street Tavern
High-energy, piano and guitar based alternative rock marked by virtuosic musicianship; dark and masterful songwriting; incendiary vocals; and a band that crosses nimbly from gritty guitars to pounding piano.
Jesse Daniel Edwards is an alternative rock songwriter from the small mountain town of Cuyamaca, CA where he grew up without TV, internet, or significant exposure to the outside world. Leaving home at 16, he spent his late teens busking on street corners around the US and abroad with his brother. While singing outside of bars on Music Row in Nashville, TN Jesse struck up a friendship with Al Bunetta (John Prine). Bunetta served as a mentor to the young artist, encouraging Jesse to write and tour full-time in the years to follow. His songs have been featured in radio, TV, streaming movies, video games, and film- with his latest album (produced by Joe Chiccarelli- The Shins, The Strokes) releasing in June of 2023.
